See, I never really had an issue with the window switches. But I also think the XJ does "feel" nicer when inside. I'm just not sure that there is difference in the materials used. I've been angry with my car lately, and it all revolves around build quality. This weekend I was looking at some crossovers that would be more practical to run errands in. I just can't seem to put myself back into a me-too mobile. Trim bits might be falling off, but my S still puts a smile on my face.

As I recall, you were looking at a blue XJR and until you found out it was in a wreck you were close to pulling the trigger on it.
One thing I noticed is that the center stack is very close to the same for the X-Type, S-Type and the XJs along with a lot of the other switches. It makes switching back and forth if you have multiple Jags easier to drive. Also it makes the parts situation a bit easier to manage.
