Default yet another rotor thread...

Hey guys, I searched a bunch already and couldn't find a specific answer to my question, so I apologize if this is redundant...

I have a 2006 S-Type 3.0 and I'm looking to replace the front and rear rotors. I've been searching online and seem to keep finding different sized rotors listed for the front of this car (300mm/326mm). Also, the rears seem to be listing as 326mm too. Is that correct? I'm debating between Centric and Zimmerman rotors. I guess my question is what size are the fronts and rears? I don't want to order the wrong size. Thanks.
Mike

Best bet is to contact the retailer you are considering using and give them your VIN. Both sizes are considered correct. The larger front rotors are a "sport" package spec. Also, Jaguar made some brake changes to all models in 2006 so in your case VIN is even more important. If the retailer you are using doesn't ask or want your VIN, run away real fast!

+1 on that - there are several different standard sizes for the various years, models & options and only the VIN allows the right ones to be found

Or, if you TRUST those who owned the car before you to have fitted the correct rotors, measure them.

Thanks for the info/tips guys.

Those are actually both great points. In the mean time I went out and measured the fronts and rears and they both come in 12.8" (326mm).

I'm quite confident that the rotors are actually original as the car has pretty low mileage. I had them turned but to no avail so I'm just going to replace them.

I think I'm going to go with a set of the Centric rotors.

^ I see this forum is a V-Bulletin forum but I can't seem to find an edit post button like other forums I'm on.

I wanted to add that I just should have measured them in the first place. LOL

The IS an edit button - but perhaps not until you've been a member for a while.

I'm surprised they're the same size.

^ And those are Centric part numbers/diagrams...but after measuring and find them both to be 12.8", I guess it's correct.

Yeah, noobs are different in case of spam, but you're doing fine - welcome to the forum!

Oh, now's a good time to put your car details where they show (signature or wherever) on your posts.
