ZF 6HP26 differences between 4.2SC and NA
Hello,
does anyone know if the ZF 6HP26 gearboxes differ from each other except for the converter (SC is supposedly stronger) - I am asking for 4.2 NA and SC engines? It seems to me that they are all the same but the differences in the prices of used gearboxes can reach almost 100% just because someone sells from the SC version a bare gearbox without a converter.
Does replacing the entire gearbox require any adaptation by connecting a computer or is it plug & play ?
Adam.

Ok thanks for the information. So there are a little more differences than I thought. If necessary, I will look for something from R - or XJR because it's probably the same. You don't know if it will suit younger years - mine is from 2002?
Does the installation of a new-used gearbox require any adaptation using a computer?
