ZF 6HP26 Transmission max torque

The XKR-S is the most extreme example yet, it's an upgrade (S model) to an upgrade (R model)...99.99% who see the thing won't know the difference between the R-S, a R and a regular model ($53K less)...At the track a car new from the factory can beat it that's $100K less...In my useless opinion (because I won't ever buy one) they should of make an entirely different car vs an upgrade to an upgrade...
Hmmmmmm! Your signature says: Passive Aggressive Sarcasm at it's finest, so I know you're good with the following:
...99.99% who see the thing won't know the difference between the R-S, a R and a regular model
and
they should of make an entirely different car vs an upgrade to an upgrade...
Um, wouldn't both of those apply here???
Platinum/Charcoal '05 STR w/Nav. 3lb pulley, hi-flow cats, K&N, drilled/slotted rotors & Achebono pads

Holy smoke!! If the STR is already within 10% of the tranny limit, I better be careful about adding another 40HP of power. On the other hand...
I had a Saab 9000 Aero automatic with a ZF tranny, ex factory 200HP. Was warned against upgrading because of ZF tranny limits. Did a massive power upgrade anyway, up to 350HP. From then on, only used "D" for crawling around town, used manual changes all other times, always avoiding auto change-downs when accelerating hard. 3 years later, car sold but still going strong.
So, I'm using the "J" gate more and more, in anticipation...
