I've done 6 900-mile trips so far in mine - it's pretty comfortable. I'm only 5'10", so with cruise control on, I rest my right leg against the side of the center console. Can't stretch it out, but I find that's adequate.

I am wondering how comfortable the car will be? I have a V8S. I cannot figure out what to do with my right leg when I will be droning along on I-90 with the cruise control on. I cannot seem to find a comfortable place for the right leg. I can stretch the left one out besides the brake pedal.

My brain tells me to take the Range Rover Sport. However, my heart is set on the F-Type. I want to drive it in the mountains.
Your heart is right. Take the FType. I've done several long drives with no discomfort at all. Besides you can have lots of fun using your right foot on the go peddle without ever needing to resort to cruise control.

This.

Almost every car I have owned has been equipped with cruise control.

I think I've used it once for about 5 minutes before reverting to
using the go pedal. As a result, I am not the one parked
in the fast lane going 1.5 mph faster than the other lane to
avoid adjusting or resetting the cruise.

Double this . . . I almost never used cruise control in any vehicle.

Thank you for the feedback.

Well - it's settled then! F-Type it is. Driving it in the mountains will be worth the boring drive through flat country.

Foosh, that''s one big vehicle! I expect you can give some of the space inside the RV to park the f type and take it with you on road trips !

LOL . . . that would require extensive interior "redecoration," which my wife would take a dim view of. It's quite luxurious the way it is. We flat-tow the Jeep behind the coach.

Road trips and long get-aways are awesome, when you can take your entire 2nd home with you. It's amazing to pull up and live right beside the dunes at places like the Outer Banks of NC with this view outside your window. You just can't get as up close and personal by renting a vacation house or hotel room

When we were building our new home and barn on the acreage we acquired, we lived in that coach for an entire year and never got tired of it.

Still on the Lobster Run. Spent many consecutive hours driving up here. Real comfortable.

Matt is here on the Lobster Run - he and his wife drove from Colorado to the East Coast and up to Maine. They're spending 3 weeks total, and appear to be having a great time. He may chime in at some point.

Foosh, great photos. To the OP, seems like driving is the only way to get the full experience!

No road is ever boring in this car, but cruise control is a nice change for long stretches of interstate to allow you move your right foot around a bit at times. In the west you can go or miles without overtaking anyone; it's not like driving in the east or LA. And, the go pedal still works in cruise you know; you don't have to sit at one speed, and one touch cancels it.

We're on a long vacation drive to VA and ME, 4000+ miles R/T. The F-Type is not like driving my A7 for space and comfort, but I could hardly have driven that over for Lobster Run, now could I? It has been pretty comfortable by making stops every 2 to 3 hours which my old body needs in any case, and great chance to get intimate with the car. And, we figured out how to pack it. My wife is pretty game for anything, and we'd do it again and will. But to each his own.

[Matt doesn't actually dress that way when he drives.]

*That's not him.
