Hi on the front bumper of a x300 xjr I have orange indicators? are clear lenses available anywhere?
And also I would like to change the bumper reflectors for the Marker lights that some models have as optional extra does any one know how the connection to car is set up and could I buy the harness from a reading car and plug and play.or would need to wire Into side light circuit myself.many thanks Steve...
No clear lenses available as far as I know for the X300.
Klearz (1998-2003 X308 XJ8 Clear Turn Signals) used to make them for the X308 which of course won't fit the X300. But even Klearz hasn't made the X308 versions for a while.
I do seem to recall that someone DIY/home-made some clear lenses which a X300 forum search would probably turn up.

Not sure what you are referring to here. The front bumper side lights in my 97 are lit as parking/running lights. Are you sure yours aren't just burned out?
Can anyone tell me how and where the Marker lights connect to the car and would my car have the connector.thanks
Fortunately Jaguar made the electrical hookups within the front bumper of the X300 exceedingly easy. As I recall, there is one big connector on each end of the bumper that supplies the LH and RH side of all electrical for the bumpers. If you drop your plastic underbelly pan that covers the bottom of the radiator and bumper, you should be able to look up and coincidentally almost/approx behind these very marker lights should be a big connector.
As far as I can tell there is no harness option for not lighting those marker lights, so if yours aren't working then the options are burnt out bulb, unplugged at the lamp, wiring damaged or some fuse/relay giving trouble.
Here is more info for the bumper harness for a RHD car, see parts 5 & 6:
BTW, to make sure we're using the same terminology: I call the front side "marker" lights the small amber rectangular lamps on the side of the front bumper that do not blink.
I call the side "turn indicator", "blinker" or "repeater" lights the amber lights up on the front fender to the rear of the wheel opening that do blink.
I'm pretty sure UK cars only have reflectors on the sides of the front bumpers - although the harness and female plugs for the marker lights should be there. (IIRC green plugs on the 40)
If you check under the bumper/front plastic shroud you'll run into them if the harness is indeed there - then just pick up some US/CAN spec side lights on eBay and you'll be golden.
- at least that's how it works on the XJ40 and I'd guess the UK spec X300 is the same.
Some or all European X300s do not have lit side marker lights?

That is interesting, so some or all European X300s have no side marker lights at all and thus are "invisible" from the side at night (excepting reflected light)? That seems very strange.
It is also interesting that the Jaguar Classic diagrams do not indicate a separate harness or lamps for any regional cars with and without side marker lights, only with lights. So perhaps if some or all European cars did not come with the side marker lights lit, they have the wiring and socket sitting unused behind the lens?
I know of a turquoise jag I was going to buy before mine now reg 96. And that had lite up marker lights UK car..I have checked my car they are just reflectors
I cut and glued a clear piece with clear epoxy about 8 years ago. Then installed amber lights so it blinks the correct color.
It has held up structurally, but I noticed when replacing a bulb recently that I must not have gotten full coverage on the glue and it allowed some dirt in.
The main wiring harness has the extra wire, however the extension (which connect to the actual lamps (indicator, fogs and also temp sensor in brake duct) does not have anything connected to that pin - you will need to splice in something to this extra wire to power the side markers.
I am using that same extra wire to power some DRL's on mine at the present.
