Default ZF 6hp26 Oil Pan / Gasket

Hi all,

My car sprung a leak so I am in the process of getting a new transmission oil pan/filter/ and gasket for my 2005 S Type 3.0

I am seeing conflicting information on what the gasket looks like. Can anyone provide a picture or part number of the correct gasket for the transmission oil pan?

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you

the plastic pan comes with a rubber gasket already attached . were as the steel conversion pan comes with a gasket paper gasket also it is supplied with the steel pan but not pre fitted , along with a separate pan filter as opposed to the plastic pan having the filter also integrated .
don't forget to do the matronics connector sleeve while you are in there as that is most likely were your leak is coming from !

Is there a gasket that should go between the mating surfaces of the pan and transmission? I see a thin rubber gasket only on the inner perimeter of the pan.

That is all you need. Mine came with the new pan.

Well I got the new pan on, with nearly 12L of new fluid (did a complete drain through trans cooling line) and the car drives like NEW! Buttery smooth shifts!!
