Default Footwell housing

Hi,

The footwell housing on drivers side is a little messy, I was wondeing if any of you would be kind enough to send some pics of behind the pedals and above the pedals of yours so I can just see a little comparison. Also is there a square hole where light is on the passenger side of yours? Just seemed deeper than it needed to be..

Maybe im paranoid.

Just a guess, but maybe the "square hole" on the passenger side is to cater for the steering column and/or pedals on RHD cars?

Heres mine, looks a complete mes.. The button panel with the trunk release etc was disconnected also. I have no idea why it would look this way, only thing i can think of is if it was when previous owner installed the radar detection system??

Should something be connected there in the top left?

Should something be connected here?

Here's mine.

Looks like you just need to push your cover up in the back.

AFAIK the metal pedals are standard on the XFR. The "rest" pedal on the left is generally an add on - I got mine from a Jaguar forum enthusiast making things in his shed :-)

Brake and accelerator came with the car, got the dead pedal as a set off Ebay, gave the other 2 pieces of that set to my barber who drives a XF V8.

The metal brake and accelerator pedal covers were not standard but a factory option.
You can get the OEM ones after-market, I added a set to each of my old XFS and current XFR.
They are not horrendously expensive and they are quite easy to fit, although you may need to drill a hole through the stock go pedal (I glued mine on instead of bolting it on). The brake pedal already comes with two holes drilled in it for mounting the cover.
On the brake pedal you have remove the existing rubber cover, at first it looks like it doesn't come off but yes it does, you just have to apply a fair bit of force to yank it off.
Shop around and you should be able to find a new set of OEM metal pedal covers for not too many $.
