I see a fair amount of Fs around these parts. Sedans are a hard sell in today's market, two seaters even harder. Lot's more old guys have always wanted a Vette, which is a pretty good car. I have never really wanted a Vette and truth be told, I don't even want an F. I prefer the older XK four seat design. People don't fit in the back seat but luggage does.

If you think about it that is not even a lot of Corvettes considering how many Chev dealers there are and the price. I'm constantly amazed how 911's sell as they cost more and more, for that matter all Porsche. I haven't even seen many new Miata's around. Not really a 2 seater time. Plenty of Merc S and suv's!

As much as I love the F-Type, there are three reasons why I couldn't buy one;
1. The lack of luggage space means I could not use it for most trips that I do
2. I'm too tall & fat to be comfortable in one (the XK is much roomier)
3. They are too expensive in Australia (double the US prices)
Apart from point 3, i'm sure there are other's who are in the same boat. Sports cars are not for everyone...

Australia and their crazy taxes on automobiles. Too bad you can't vote some of your politicians out and undo some of that. I know it's not easy, the crap we put up with over here is unbelievable. But if you start to over tax our cars, you have a revolution on your hands. We kicked a sitting governor out of office for trying that.

:-) that not a completion either of us really want to win I'm guessing, well maybe the tall bit. I do take the car for overnight or two night domestic trips and leave it at the valet but for those trips I easily have enough space as I never take checked baggage. For longer or international I always leave the car at home and take a taxi.

I disagree. We work very hard to have nice things, and we shouldn't be punished because of it. When I start up my Aston Martin, I think yes, yes I do need this car. When it's a 100 degrees out and I drive around in my 7000 lb Raptor with with the AC and cooled seats on, life is good.
