Mel,
I assume you know all about the AJ26 & AJ27 engines. If not, don't even think about fitting it if you haven't changed the top and bottom tensioners for the revised 4.2 items, change the useless plastic cooling tower for an alloy one, uprate the waterpump impeller which fails and change the valley water pipes.
Which box are you fitting?
Good luck with the project.
Paul

Been a jag tech since left school. Done many a tensioner. That engine is just a dummy engine to get mounts made up.
4.0 litre. Aj26. Latest tensioners. 4.2 headgaskets. Uprated top and bottom pulleys. Auto gearbox with flappy paddles. The merc box that comes on the standard v8r is well capable of handling the power.
I am designing a dry sump system.
Shell is seam welded. Brakes were on the car. The man who built it made everything himself.
Solid front and rear subframe mounts.
Solid bronze upper and lower wishbone bushes. Solid rack mounts. Solid shock bushes. Adjustable front ride height ( see small front springs )
Custom rear suspension. Adjustable rear ride height. Adjustable rear camber and track. All rose jointed.
It was fun to drive before.
As a side note I have a massive amount of v12 stuff for sale.
Lister 7.0 litre block crank rods. Heads. Heads been fully refurbished. Need shimming. Tubular manifolds. Large throttles. Group c style water rails. Manual 5 speed box with bell housing and adapter plate. Triple plate clutch. Lots more.

Registration laws. I would never be able to get the car registered as a classic, as the conversion needs to be from the same time the car was built. Hommage cars don't work here... You can't whack in a Lister engine and get away with it... Thrus, if you did, you'd register normally paying something like €2000 roadtax/year just to be allowed to use it on the roads!
