Does anyone know the best way to remove the interior trim
( triangle trim plate or more) to access the side view mirror bolts to tighten it up. Hate yo have dlr do it for $$$$

Any help appreciated

I just got a 2008 XJR and have a similiar issue. Previous owner mentioned that the clips that hold the mirror (one of them is broken) and need to be replaced. I don't see any issues with folding the mirror or adjusting it but now and then the mirror pops out and I'm scared that it doesn't happen while I'm in the middle of my drive. Not sure if I have to replace the entire power mirror motor or can I just get the clip somewhere which holds the mirror as the motor is working fine.
