Default F-Type Carbon Fiber Roof Option

Surely it saves some weight up top and some prefer it to glass, but why did Jaguar use a light gray carbon fiber pattern? Does not blend in well at all imo.

Plus everyone seems to love the glass roof. I couldn't imagine paying the extra $2k?? for the carbon roof option. If I bought a car that had one I would wrap it in darker/black carbon fiber.

More desirable must-have option: Vision Pack
Least: Carbon roof

Not a fan on having a roof on a car at all (except in bad weather).

It lowers the car's center of gravity. If you want the best handling, you'd go carbon fiber.

I wanted the coupe's original metal roof but it's no longer available. I had the choice of glass or carbon fiber, for a $3200 lighter wallet.

I keep the shade closed most of the time because I find reflections off the underside of the glass to be distracting. I see the reflections of the lane striping on the passenger side in my peripheral vision.

I looked one over with the CF roof. I thought it dulled the appearance of the F-Type greatly. I vote for the glass.

I'm fortunate enough to have the original aluminium roof panel.

Noting that it isn't structural - like the other options it's stuck on with mastic - you could retrofit it.

The black of the other two options looks good with some colours, but less so with others.

At least the carbon roof is closer to the aluminium option in weight. 50lb of glass and shade mechanism fitted to the highest point of the car cannot help the handling.

Too many colors going on - red / silver / carbon.
