Default Park brake caliper bolts

So I replaced the park brake pads this weekend to find out that one of the bolts holding the epb caliper to the suspension was missing. Anyone know the size of these bolts or where I can source a replacement?
Thanks!

Hi BlackKat,

That is really scary and yet another group of fasteners we all need to check on our cars, along with all the suspension fasteners and power steering rack mounting fasteners that have previously been reported loose or missing.

You don't have your car info in your signature line but I assume that since your EPB has separate calipers your car is supercharged, and I'm just guessing a model year around 2005. If the bolt you need is part 10 in the diagram below, it is a M10 X 87mm screw (no pitch is given but I'd assume standard 1.5mm pitch). The Jaguar part number is C2C6746.

Jaguar Merriam (jaguarmerriamparts.com) shows the Jaguar list price as $28.80 each and their discounted price is $25.10 each (gulp!!!).

Checking McMaster-Carr (mcmaster.com), they have 80mm long flange-head high-strength class 10.9 screws at 10 for $8.93, and 90mm ones at 10 for $9.99:

Flange Head High-Strength Class 10.9 Screws M10X1.5mm 80mm long

Flange Head High-Strength Class 10.9 Screws M10X1.5mm 90mm long

If the screw is fine pitch instead of standard you'll have to do some more research.

BTW, the diagram above and the part number are from the Electronic Parts Catalog, which you can download free from this forum and install on your computer by following the instructions in this thread:

Cheers,

Don
