Ring Spanner Gedore 75mm x 80mm Gold Plated Pick Up Lake Macquarie | eBay
Gedore are the bee's knees! I have two tools from them. One is a screwdriver and the other is a spanner. Both "borrowed" from a workshop a few years ago. I've basically molested that screwdriver so badly... A cheap one would be bent or cracked of have no tip. I've used huge hammers on it and the plastic is still there. The point is still sharp.

If I were to buy the screwdriver on it's own, it'd be around €20 just for a standard looking driver!

I have stood one of those polygonal 50p pieces on the flat bit of the manifold, no bother. A 2p piece is going some though!

The biggest problem was Standing the 2p up in the first place and so I was pretty convinced it would fall over.

Hi Jimbov8

I might just have a go at that just for the hell of it but I'll wait until She's off the Ramp so I can use a Tripod with a shutter release on the Camera.

OB, what did you film that with? A new or old potato? Just kidding... A picture stabiliser would probably be a good thing to activate

Daim

You're not paying attention! (Lol)

My Production Assistant was working, which meant that I just had to do the whole thing on my own.

What with having to write the Script, do the Story Board, Standing up 2p pieces and even do my own Catering!

Quite frankly the whole thing was a nightmare, where with so many jobs to do it wasn't any wonder that I couldn't hold the Camera steady.

Hi Daim

I've used that Gedore kit before and found it pretty good but having had a Socket Set, if only for one day!

They always seem to include the kind of Stuff I'll never need.

So probably best to have a look for a couple of Sets of Sockets on their own.

Okay, well, I do it the same My 200 head strong film crew with Steven Playcastle (he's Spielburg's British cousin ) as executive producer and sometimes some good actors, like Benedict Cucumberbatch, was on holiday as I did my fuel injector clean and check...

I can check here, if you want, for some good used tool kits... There are loads for sale, as more and more little workshops are closing down (due to tax regulations making selfemployment so expensive)...

Btw.

I just checked a few sites... An entire XL roller box with tools (sockets, ratchets, spanners, screw drivers etc. - all metric) costs only €375 NEW here... So about £320 (round about) - with roller wagon etc.

Hi Daim

I was actually quite impressed with your Injector Cleaning Set up but 'JigJag' Carl got an unbelievable deal on some new Injectors.

Even the Price of Service Exchange, seems to be even Cheaper than having them Cleaned.

But like you I didn't bother, as my Injectors haven't done much mileage.

The Tool Kit sounds a bargain, have you got a link.

Although I am still saving up for a New Oil Cooler.

No link, as it is on Facebook... In a German group, only visible for members...

But here is an example from eBay...:

Werkstattwagen mit Werkzeug. Bestückter Werkzeugwagen Werkzeugkasten Schrank Box | eBay

Don't be surprised, it is all in German

The only thing you would then need, would be some imperial spanners and sockets, nothing else.

Hi Daim

Thanks for sending that, they look very good value for money but I wouldn't know which one to choose.

About a couple of Weeks ago I bought a Brand New Welding Set in an Auction for £20

But was it any good?............

The First Job was to unpack it and then assemble the Welding Mask, which was deceptively complicated, as it was more like trying to put a Jig

Saw Puzzle together but we got there in the end.

As for the Welding Set itself, it looks quite a nice piece of Kit, as well as a bit of a Bargain for the Price I paid.

Although I never got the Chance to try it out, as for some Bizarre reason, they didn't include a single Welding Rod.

But the Outlaws are coming round for lunch tomorrow and the GF's Dad has promised to bring some round.

Always a bit of a punt buying stuff at an Auction, so lets hope the box is not just full of house bricks.

Looking Good so far but the Mask was a bit of a Puzzle to put together.

Not bad for £20 but they didn't include any Welding Rods, so I can't try it out till Tomorrow.

A welder is a good tool in XJS owners arsenal. Do yourself a favor and buy an auto darkening visor, when I did my welding improved significantly.

Hi Warrjon

While I wouldn't want to use it for Welding on the Car, what with it being a 'Stick Welder'

The reason that I wanted it was to make some longer Car Ramps to get my XJS up on the Lifter.

Also a good idea about one of those Self Darkening Masks but I always thought that you only use those with a Mig?

You can use the auto darkening masks with MIG TIG or stick

Hi Warrjon

Cheers!

I will get one, nowhere near as expensive as they used to be.

Problem with the Windscreen Washer Bottle

When I started her up this Afternoon, the Windscreen Washer Bottle Low/Empty Warning Light was on, so thinking the bottle was empty I decided to top it up.

But all it took was a Pint of Water to fill it right up to the Top, although instead of the Warning Light going out it stayed on and I'm really not sure how to fix it or where the sensor is, so it looks like I may have to take the Splash guard off.

Might just be a dirty sensor or loose wire.

Hi Brad

Do you know where the Sensor is?

I hope I don't have to remove the Splash Guard as its a bit of a PIA to get to the Bottle, which I think is inside the Inner Wing/Fender.
