GORGEOUS 2006 Victory Edition Vert in LA...
This is so tempting... someone buy it before I do....
(side note, the dealer raised the price after I called them and let them know it was a Victory Edition, they had no idea) They said they would honor the original price if i purchased though...
Dealer is in Marina del Rey...should I???

Agreed. You only get one shot at life.
IMO the black wheels really suit the car's colour, which isn't too shabby either. Looks like a wheel alignment is in its future, so you can add that to your list of bargaining points when temptation get the better of you
edit: No-one needs even 1 Jaguar

Three Jags is just right
My Platinum is the daily driver
My Quartz is for Sunny Saturday
My Black Cat is for any Sunday prowls... and car shows too
and as there are only 304 Victory Coupe Jags made... so the 701 vert is still a rare piece
and price seems like a good deal
and a beautiful colour too

even less. Original asking price was $12,995
It is a convertible. if you search 2006 xkr for sale in Marina del Rey, it should come up

yes, as I noted in the original post, I called them to inquire, and they had no idea it was a Victory Edition. I explained about the special badges and the carbon fiber as dead giveaways... Then the price on the website magically went up
If i were still looking for an XKR, I would buy it in a split second.

Pretty Ms. Bluefin,
your XKR is twice as pretty as that "Victory"! I can't imagine you driving that ugly thing...all you have to do is go the Welch's and order yourself one of those 4.2-S Badges that goes under the Left Rear Tail Light and no one will know the difference....anyway! Just tell'em it's a "Victory" they won't know the difference anyway....That car is so ugly, we wouldn't let it inside Texas! We'd stop it at the Boulder.....

It doesn't do much for me. No wood, no chrome on trunk plinth (2 Jag necessities=wood and a touch of chrome bling), no 3 dials, and I prefer contrasting colors for body & top on 'verts. "Top, windows and seats work well." Does this imply that other things such as motorized steering wheel, cruise control don't work?
And what's the deal with the black plastic trim around the rear wheel well? I thought only European spec cars had that. Aftermarket addition? It interrupts the sleekness of the car IMHO.

That's a Service History:
It's clearly been pampered.
I had the coupe European equivalent 4.2-S Final Series in the same Frost Blue with Ivory trim but it had the elm veneer instead of carbon fibre. I'm not a fan of CF mainly due to the preponderence of the dreadful stick on stuff some people seem to think is an improvement. It's the real thing in the Victory Edition so easy to sell/exchange for the wood equivalent.
Anyone looking for a keeper, the Victory/Final Series is one of the most likely to become collectible.

The wheel arch mud flap was part of the R Performance Package. Mine has it.
