Found one
Crankshaft Defekt Jaguar XF CC9 5,0 AJ-133 EN151029 | eBay
May be in better shape than yours but not without fault.
They also have a block.

Yeah I found that, but the X on the conrod journal in the photo means that it's likely spun a bearing the same as mine. I think if I want to pay for shipping a crank from the UK/Europe it's only worth it for a new crank, and not to examine the damage on a crank that could potentially be worse than mine (no real way of knowing).
In fact, it looks like there are more crosses on the main bearing journals too, so I think I want to steer clear from that one.

Respect to you davetibbs. What a project you have on hand that I am sure you will complete. I am in the process of doing a gasket head swap on my 5.0 NA due to a failing front water pipe. I have not started yet due to the fact that I am unsure about how to properly refit timing of cam/chain/tensioner. I have not been able to locate any info on the jaguar service manual. Have you by any chance found this info. I hope its not to much to ask you on some help once I start the tare down.

The cranks are also available new, but expensive, and I've been lucky enough to grab this used but undamaged one:
There's at least a couple of suppliers on eBay alone selling both main bearings and conrods, here's one I found with a 30 second search.
Half the battle in getting these is recognizing that there's a few sources online for these parts but they're generally listed for the 5.0 Range Rover Sport which shares the same engine, barring a few differences such as sump.
I ideally need two new pistons too, as the wrist pin appears to have worn an odd pattern in the pistons where the bearings spun, but for the price that even these rebuilders charge I'm looking at getting a forged set made instead.

You've said a few times that JLR don't list internal engine parts - and that's true - but this doesn't mean you can't get them reasonably easily. As an example, here is a pair of new 5.0 conrods I've ordered for my engine rebuild. I ordered them online from here and they showed up within days.

Dave T, can you look on your supercharger assembly and see what size allen wrench this set screw takes?
It's the stop for the supercharger bypass valve. I'm looking to adjust mine, but I'll need to fab a tool to do it while the SC is on the car, as the allen opening is on the back side, your SC is off right..lol.
Thanks!

And that's the RIGHT way to do an engine rebuild Dave T! Plenty of piston makers right here in Cali too, You could probably cut a good deal just giving a manufacturer the opportunity to add the Jag AJ133sc pistons, pins and rods to their inventory? Something I'd definitely pitch..lol
Another random factoid: the connecting rod bolts in the 5.0 pistons are exactly the same as the 4.2, which are available from Jaguar.

I'm looking into it as we speak! I'm not sure about aftermarket rods at the moment as the factory ones are forged and are likely more than adequate for the kind of power I'm going to be expecting this engine to produce on a daily basis, but pistons makes sense. My one stipulation is I don't want any piston slap when cold, because this is still a Jaguar and not an out-and-out racecar. I don't want it to sound like a bag of wrenches when I start it in the morning otherwise I may as well stay stock. I'm hoping this can be avoided, maybe using 4032 alloy vs 2618, but will need conversations with the various companies I think.

Nuth'n since 4/27, wonder if it has proved to difficult and costly to do what he wanted to do.
Sad if so.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car
Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, and
Torque is how far you take the wall with you
Sad if so.

>a cleaned and honed block.
Ha, just like a new 3.0 V6 block (except 6 holes would be smaller and two would be plugged... ;-)

You dreamed of a big star -
He played a mean guitar -
He loved to drive his Jaguar...
So welcome to the machine
