Michelin Sport 4S vs MPSS
#64
When I checked with Costco on the PSS, they said they weren't able to get the size I need. They were able to get Pilot 4S for front, but weren't sure when they would be able to get the rears since it wasn't listed yet for the 295/30-20. They can special order the tires and you'll still get the specials ($70 off 4) if they can get them.

Call me a hippy who is a fool with his money, but I'll pay $15 more per tire to support a wonderful, locally owned tire shop with roots in the community.

All tires... what has been your mileage?
I think I got 12K out of my Pirelli rear.
17K out of my Pirelli front
14K approx on my PSS RWD,
and about to install PS4.
Just wondering if that is quick, or par for the course?
My pop was talking how his caddy would get 45K, and surprised how low our tires are. a
A 2 ton car will deplete RWD tires....
but is that normal for this car? What's normal for most sports cars on PSS, etc?

Interesting. I took my C43 into Costco once and they told me that they don't do staggered tires, even if they are OEM. But that was a while back, perhaps their policy has changed.
And yikes on the price AND wear of those suckers... (I know, $100k performance car, yada yada...)

Ordering online means shipping to an installer and the price range really varies depending on many factors but mostly the 'retail experience' and customer service and quality.
When I had my Pirellis remounted after having them powdercoated I went to the nearest place - Les Schwab. They were only $80 but after telling me they would use black wheel weights they used silver. You get what you pay for service wise.
When I was at Auto Outfitters below with my work van I asked what would be the difference if I bought P4s from them vs online and having them shipped to them. In a nutshell, for the 5% more you get a little more warranty assurance and probably more care.
The $220 place below probably brings you out a red robe and a pipe.

I still have just a shred of rubber prior to the indicator saying to move on. But my new tires came in JUST NOW.
WHATEVER WILL I DO WITH THAT EXTRA RUBBER?!?!?
Imma find a secluded little silent spot, and let my cat have a bit o fun

No issues with steering wheel angle after alignment. I don't think they do any adjustments on that. Steering and handling is noticeably improved after the alignment. It was a 4 wheel laser alignment and cost $99. Got a bit of a discount being a friend of the owner. Normal price is around $130. Dealer wanted significantly more to do the alignment.
