Water Leak in Driver/ Passenger Footwells
Took the 91 Sovereign through an automatic car wash yesterday. When I pulled out water was pouring down on my feet and on the front passenger side as well.
I've taken it thru other auto car washes before and this never happened. However, this was the 1st time thru this particular car wash. Maybe it was the angle of their sprayers...
Anyway, I'm sure there is some drain(s) that is clogged. Where can I hunt down these drains or other advise, please?....

There's a rubber drain device called the duck bill, located in the engine compartment under the wiper motor on the firewall - sometimes it gets blocked and the water in the scuttle overflows into the blowers and then onto your feet - check it isn't clogged before you do anything else.

Many owners, including me, removed the duckbill and left it off. My assumption is that it was designed to discourage insects and small rodents from nesting in the comfy space under the windshield cowl, but all it seems to do is clog with seeds and leaves and cause water to pool and eventually overflow into the passenger compartment.

I think it should be routine maintenance to remove that cowl panel once or twice a year, just to clean out any debris that may have gotten down there. From years of doing restoration work,I've seen many cars with a buildup of leaves in there. Damp leaves trap moisture and rust will eventually form.
