Default Another jag with warm aircon when set around cold. Help

Ok, so when the aircon is switched on the tone of the engine changes and so do the flaps. But it warm even when on cold.

I've had the gas checked and it's not empty.

This happened about the same time I was messing about with the fuse box under the dash and bonnet. But maybe coincidence. I've attached a couple of photo to show what I've checked.

R6 or the wiring is not present on the under bonnet box.

Any ideas guys, I've trawled the net with no success.

Regards Gav

Reset the codes and had a 2 mile run. Then retrieved the same codes

For some reason the other code didn't photo but the description was the same.

It would be helpful if we new the model/year of the car. The diagram you are showing is for a pre-2004 1st quarter X-Type. Is that what you have
Since you say R6 doesn't exist I tend to think you have a 2004 or later model which would be an entirely different electrical layout.

Let us know what you are working on and we will give it a go.

Sorry, yes it's a 2004. I didn't realise my car details weren't showing.

The outside of the aircon pump is not spinning with the engine running and aircon on. I'll see if I can get to the connector and check for power.

Could do with a wiring diagram for that layout. Everything I've seen has different fuse box layouts.

Welcome to the forum Gavin,

Please post an intro in the new members section when you have time.

You can download the wiring diagrams from the General tech section or from Gus's site JagRepair.com - Jaguar Repair Information Resource
Here's the description from JTIS for your code.

Working again now. Somehow when I had the main beam issue I'd removed the aircon clutch relay!. Strange thing is I didn't have any left over. So today I had to rob the horn relay.

I am not sure about the code you got, however, I have now purchased three of these cars and everyone had no cold air. I took them to my friend who sucked the system dry and then filled them back up with coolant and everything has been great since. All of them blowing cold air.
