X Type got flooded out---considering another..
Hello guys;
lots of rain in Houston today, made the fatal mistake of pulling into a parking lot, and the parking lot was in worse shape than the street. Cat stalled, water came up to the seat. Pushed car to a spot. Car is gone. Won't start again.
Car is fully covered but just hit 100k miles. So I am not expecting much from insurance. I am going to look at new cars, but if I can find a last year model in British Racing Green with reasonable miles I may go for it. I am in Texas and if anyone has any suggestion for finding a BRG 2006+ X type with low miles I would appreciate it. Thanks

Mine @ dealer w/little higher miles (133k reflected in KBB price attached), sat/nav, multi disk, premium sound, sliding sunroof, after market mesh grill, hid conversion on fog, low, mains, new starter, new brakes, new tires, excellent interior, NO leaks, no unusual noises).
Repair so far = rear lower front stabilizer bars ($50.00), fluid changes of oil to synthetic (Mobile 15,000 mile) with new drain plug and filter, differential and transfer case to royal purple, transmission fluid change this coming weekend. Jaguar dealer says front "swing" bar leaking (the one with ball joint) so when on the lift this weekend will check it out as I have had it in the air 3 times in 2 months and never seen any drips, leaks. But if so, that will be next repair.
They originally asked $10,400, dropped to $6,500 over 60 days, I made an offer and got it for $4,500 cash.

I don't know what you consider low miles on ten year old cars but I've had my '04 for about two months now - BRG with 86k on the odo. Sport package. Picked it up for $4200. Needs basic minor maintenance (already did brakes at all four corners plus sway bar end links). I picked it up in Florida about a month before I relocated back up North.

As as far as performance is concerned, I have test driven an XF and believe me, for a week, it made me forget how much I dislike the exterior to the point I thought about getting one. Just can't get over the current "design language"
