VelocityAP Exhaust Development Jaguar F-Type V8S, V8R, V6 & V6S

so I had the exhaust installed yesterday and man does it change the exhaust note... as Stuart has said, much cleaner & more refined... certainly much louder with valves open (I ordered a valvetronic). I'll try to get some clear audio clips to help anyone on the fence with their purchase. I don't have sport cats, just straight stock.
The installation was super simple, straight bolt on, no welding, cutting, etc.

Is the valvetronic system "plug and play" and use the existing electronics / active exhaust button on the console?
#63
Yes, it uses the existing button just like stock... same functionality is retained which is why I chose it myself. The only point to note during installation is the stock vacuum line that connects to the valve control module was too short. I needed to replace it with a line that was about 6cm longer on both sides.

Stuart, question for you ....
Hi Stuart,
Will you please explain the following to me, what does your headers do above & beyond the cast manifold. Also the same question for the sport 200 cell cats. What does the sport cats do, above the stock cats.
I'm considering doing either or possibly both items. Last, if I get either or both items, must I do software upgrade. My goal is to increase power without tamering with the ECU software. Your thoughts please. Thank you.

Yes, either the 200 cell cats, or the headers with the modified downpipe & 200 cell cats, will both require the ECU to be reflashed, unless you're willing to live with the emissions warning lights permanently on.

Stuart, I have a question along the same lines. Will your tune need to be modified to change the O2 parameters due to the 200 cell cats?
#70
I will have to check with Chris, and see if he already altered the programming for the O2 monitors on your car.

If that is the case, I would encourage you to look at the Valved Exhaust system. It will give you some nice aural improvements, without requiring software integration.

For you Loud Guys out there - this is the SuperSport paired with Sport Cats. Owner just picked up the car and loves the extra power of the crank pulley. He also mentioned that the tone is much, much better than the stock exhaust paired with the sport cats.
We can also do this setup in Sport and Touring (my recommendation for most of you.)

V6 Exhaust Launch Special is now Active. Coupon Code FTYPEV6EXLAUNCH will get you 40% off until March 1st, or until limited quantity is reached.
Supersport or Sport Fixed Sound Level - These are probably what you're going to want, if you have stock cats:
Touring Sound Level - This is probably what you're going to want if you have sport cats or deletes:
Jaguar F-Type Sport Exhaust Touring Sound Level
Race/Touring Sound Level - This is probably best suited for stock cats, although some of you crazy diamonds might like this with sport cats. It will be INSANE mode loud with valves open and sport cats, fair thee warned.
Will look just like the non-valved system except that there will be a bypass pipe with valve installed between the inlet & outlet.

I am thinking of adding the VAP 200 sport cats to the stock switched/valued exhaust on my V6.
I read a number posts on this thread and others about raspy'ness of that combo, but it was not clear if that was on the V8.
This would be adding to the VAP tune/crank pulley. So not doing it for the power.
Anyone have any experience and/or advice, thoughts, etc?

Absolutely in LOVVEEEE with the sound!!! Sounds amazing, refined, exotic. VelocityAP nailed it. I installed the Valvetronic exhaust (Race/Touring) exhaust and I removed my 200 cell cats before the install, because I was scared it would be too loud, but I am feeling brave and might throw the 200-cell cats back on next week, but right now it sounds freaking amazing. In closed mode (touring) its pretty much as quiet as stock, and when open (race) it sounds a lot better than stock (louder, refined, exotic). I'll drive it around this weekend and determine if I still need more sound.
