Wooden steering wheel
Hi Guys.
I'm looking for a wooden/leather steering wheel in good condition, without controls, in beige, to fit my 04 X-type. So if anyone has one sitting around in their garage or loft, which they no longer need, and wish to turn it into cash, please let me know.
Thanks Guys

Hi. If you have never had a "wood trim" steering wheel think twice. I put one on my Rover 75 and regretted it. OK they look great but in the sun mine got too hot to touch. Also I had to stop wearing my rings for fear of marking it. Any major wheel movement they clicked against it and every click is a tiny mark. "these build up"

It certainly can get hot. Here in Utah where the summer (now) temperatures are high 90's to low 100's for at least 2 months, the car really gets cooking. I purchased one of these and it is astonishing how well it works keeping the heat down, dash protected, seats not frying. I retro fitted the 2 suction cups to some industrial mechanical actuated ones (think picking up glass sheets type) from harbor freight that are about 1 1/2" or so in diameter @ 99¢ each.
Sort of like these, but black and smaller =
Screen (mine's a little different, foldable w/tie strap and small suction cups to stick to interior of window) but same idea=

Thanks Dunks.
Actually I never thought of that........and it does get VERY hot in Malta......and I do wear finger rings on each hand.
As my car has only covered 11,000 miles the steering wheel is "as new", so I think I might well take your advise.......but the wood grain steering wheels do look good.
