The "Conti" shirt our esteemed Forum colleague was referring to is the "Official" shirt being made for the 2017 Jaguar Lobster Run. Continental Tire has been generous enough to provide Lobster Runners - and the places and people opening their doors to us - shirts like they did last year. Unfortunately they are all spoken for.

Unhinged - living in Portland you either just live and let live or you go nuts.
In my youth I used to get all worked up over how other people live their lives, but now I couldn't care a less. Life is just too short to give a damn.
The only queens I care about are my two cats. One has a tail, one has a spoiler.

I like my car to be clean and polished.
It's pleasant to admire the looks when it's clean and shiny.
I have occasionally spent half a day washing, drying, claying, polishing , but would much prefer to spend the time driving. I will wash the car once per week typically and although it's disappointing if just after cleaning I go for a drive and rain and mud on rural roads results in it looking like it's not been cleaned that's never put me off driving in any weather conditions.
Variety is a part of life, I respect owners who cherish their F Type, Or any car, who drive only on dry summer days; for me the primary motoring enjoyment comes from driving.
I bought my F Type R on 15 July 2017, it previous owner had covered 9000 miles in the two years since it was new, today, two months later it has 16000 miles on .
Bye for now, off out for a drive!

I don't mind so much if my cars get rained on, but I hate to drive in the rain because of all the filth that gets splashed up from the road surface or especially on the freeway as it gets atomized into a muddy mist. I try to stay put until it quits raining and the roads dry up. It rarely rains for more than a few minutes at a time in Fort Worth anyway. Its easy enough to wash the exterior if it rains on it, but driving in the rain, dirt gets into all the nooks and crannies. If I know ahead of time that I'm likely gonna have to drive in the rain, then I'll drive my pickup truck. I'll watch four news weather reports each morning. Some will go out on a limb and predict no rain while others seem to always predict a 20% chance no matter what just to annoy me.
As to the heat and sun, unfortunately my employer doesn't provide garage parking so I have no choice but to park outdoors during the day. But as long as my cars are home, yes they are garage queens. What I don't have tho is a "trailer queen".

No disrespect but this thread reminds me of the late-great (and crazy) Hunter S. Thompson and this quote:
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body [I would add, car], but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!”
