Default Modified the leather fob case!

.
More first-world problems solved!!

I got the leather fob case but decided to make the stitching better match the interior details.

First photo isn't so great... Used a flash in a dark garage.

So.. Pretty much had nothing left in the world to do tonight.

Immediately regretted this as soon I started, but I’m happy with the result. The black thread hides the seam a lot better. I agree, the matching leather stitching is a really nice touch. Ended up taking me 2 hours.

Thanks for the idea!

I improved this mod further...

buffed the leather to take away the shine.

it is a much closer match to the interior now.

No, but I always carry a Crystyler in the glove box. Does that count?

It came with a lot of extra red thread for some reason. Red held the whole thing together originally, so I ripped all that out, found some black thread to put it back together, then added red.

Also - lol - no machine necessary, just about 2 hours of OCD. And I actually clicked on unhingedsewing.com

I briefly considered outlining the Lock button in black, for those times you walk away and forget to lock until you’re halfway to the building and fumble with the keys, making sure not to hit the alarm or trunk. Just enough to stand out but staying fairly subtle.

..But then I came to my senses and decided I’m never sewing again in my life.

There's your problem; it's unhingdsewing.com without the "e'. The Unhingd One lost the "e" somewhere along the line. (He himself - the exalted one - would say he's lost more than that).

Sorry for any confusion.

I am really impressed with your patience. The work needed on mine just to close up the top was not trivial.

I decided to restitch my seats to match my leather key fob. Let you know when I finish
