Oil around plugs when changing

No big deal, a fairly common problem with a simple fix. This image, purloined from eBay, shows how the V6 spark plugs sit in a common well. The cam cover has two seals, one around the outer perimeter and an inner seal around the spark plug well. Sounds like your inner seal has failed:
Just curious, were you getting misfire codes for those cylinders?

Yes, I am. I'm actually getting the codes on all cylinders. I had planned on changing the plugs, so when I saw the misfires, I went to change then only to find oil. My guess is that the other side is also bad. Next weekend will be busy. Tuneup, head gaskets, fuel filter and front brakes. Fun fun. Heater valve the following week.

If you really did mean the head gaskets, what findings brought you to that decision?
