Default Upgrading Rotors question?

After about a year of non stop brake dust, I have decided it's time to upgrade.
I will be getting new pads from Velocity but wanted to go ahead and look into drilled and slotted rotors for looks.

I know where to get them, but the question is this:
Can I go with a larger rear rotor than what came with the car or would that require a whole kit?

The front brakes are nice and beefy but the rears don't will the wheel at all.

Here is a pic of the car so you can see what I mean.

I also know bigger rear brakes will not give me a performance increase, but once again, for looks!

also, i believe by making the diameter of the rear rotors bigger you'll need a new bracket/carrier for the rear caliper to move it out and make space for the larger rotor. Unless you know of a shop that can custom fabricate a quality way for you to accommodate larger discs, i say dont do it.

alternatively, are the brakes from the SVR any bigger in the rear? if so you could just order the rear brake parts off that and try to swap it in.

The standard super performance brakes (standard on the V8 and optional on the V6) are 380 mm front and 376 mm rear (from memory). From the pic above it looks like the performance brakes.

Should be easy to find OEM brackets to upgrade the brakes to the OEM super performance size where the rear rotors also fills out the wheels.

Actually, 'high performance' brakes are standard on the V6S - 380mm front, 325mm rear. If that's the case, then someone painted the calipers red, as that wasn't an option from the factory, at least in 2014. Red calipers were only an option with super performance brakes.

Yes, it is possible and not that hard to DIY upgrade the 325/326 mm rear brakes to the "super performance" 376 mm ones, I did it a few months ago, see this thread: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/f...brakes-182088/
In that thread I have listed all the parts you will need and detailed some of the tricks and traps.
One further hint - don't pay top $ for F-Type 376 mm rotors, get XFR ones instead for a lot less, they are identical (but the rear pads are not).

Your write is amazing, but after digging around for the parts I have found to be... not cost effective at all.

Maybe I'm a bit spoiled due to people always offering me sponsorships, but I called JLR and found out it would be 1,800 for the calipers, another 600 for the brackets needed and then we still need rotors and pads which would put the rear brakes at 2,500-3,000. For that money a big brake kit can be obtained from more or less any company.

I've had Roloface offer to do 2 piece rotors, carbon, 380 front and 375 rear for me for 3,200 shipped for front and rear.

I think a aftermarket kit will be what I will end up going with from the looks of it, now I just need to dig up which one I truly want.

Sweet, keep us posted. I'm ready to swap out factory dustmaker pads, will want to change rotors too. Are the Roloface lighter weight?

Don't get any parts from JLR, they will charge you a packet (as you have found out), instead get them from Britcar in the UK for 1/2 the price or less.
If you go with an after-market kit I'm guessing they are just rotors and pads so you will still need calipers, caliper brackets and splash guards (at least for the rears) and you won't find any cheaper than Britcar unless you get very lucky like I did and find a pair of brand new calipers on Fleabay for 1/3 normal price.
