Opening the rear map/reading light fixtures ?!

Default Opening the rear map/dome light fixtures ?!

Well 3 am finds me in the garage once again tinkering lol.

Anyone know how to open these seemingly fragile pieces to replace bulbs without cracking the toggle cover ?! Or for that matter remove just the clear cover to replace with another as one of mine is already cracked(the side that toggles).

they're push fit with tangs at each end, a plastic trim tool gets them apart.

Edit :

Wow, these things are brittle, I highly suggest if you're going to be handling these, have back-ups.

To replace the bulbs you’d pop the clear lenses off in situ rather than remove the whole assembly. A gentle tug with a thin blade or screwdriver will see you right.

Yes mine were practically baked/fused together & cracked on removal, luckily I had a full spare on hand.
