Parking brake or hydraulic brake?

That is your parking brake and lights up when it is on/applied.

Having said that mine shows that however with a red circle with an exclamation point below it. So maybe that is an error light?

Someone else I am sure will chime in.

 

Sorry my bad, I haven't driven the car for a while and mistook the parking break light for an error warning light. It disappears after I put the car in reverse.

 

The car loves to be exercised.

 

Got into the habit of holding the handle on mine down, as almost always park on level surfaces, making park more than enough to hold it. Winter time often plays havoc on the cables, if icy, & wet when parked.If parking on a steep grade, not wet and cold, then the brake is left to set when the key is removed.
