Default Caliper Covers?

Saw an ad yesterday for caliper covers. They claim to cut down dust.
And I don't want either red or yellow ones!

The red ones do but the yellow ones don't.

I'm just messing with ya Dan. I put covers on mine and I would say they slowed it down a bit but not much. They act as deflectors a bit.

Combine them with ceramic pads, which I did, and the dust is almost nothing.

Are these the nasty plastic ones or metal covers? The plastic brembo covers sound like a accident waiting to happen imo. The metal covers look so much better, provided they are securely bolted

Haven't hear of plastic ones but would agree with your comments. This are the ones I purchased off of this forum:

The stainless steel spring clips mount to the inside of the caliper cover and the on the the caliper.

Those metal ones sound better.
These are the plastic ones which look silly & held on with silicone:

Annoyingly, I was once asked at a show if mine were covers, they are the original Brembo ones painted red...
