I need to replace these old gaskets/seals on my 2003 Jaguar X-type 2.5. My local auto parts store don't seem to carry them and I can find them online as well. There are two of them that go on both sids of the differential on this all wheel drive vehicle. Thanks
I have attached a blow up from SNG Barratt's website. I assume you are looking for output seals. I am not sure they are supposed to look like that. Those maybe are severely damaged.
Thanks for the tech bulletin motorcarman. It looks now like he needs the part called insulator in the SNG Barratt blow up. Good on you for recognizing the part in his glove.
I also work on VWs and there is no gasket for the CV joints on most cars that use this type. Just a metal-to-metal joint is all that is required.
I have seen the gasket destroyed or missing and reassembled the propshaft without it.
The oil leaking thins the grease and that seems to be what 'creeps-out' without the gasket.
Bob nailed the part numbers (c2s 22210) . After several hours (yup, I'm ****) trying to find a pic or info (seems to be a dealer only item and NO PICS ANYWHERE), I found this post from another member here (astromorg) on another site =
