Default Looking for One (1) Storm Wheel

Hi All,

Purchased 3 gloss black storm wheels on eBay and am missing one (59919) rear gloss black.

Does anyone have any clue where I can get my hands on one besides the dealer?

Thanks!

This place lists them for strangely cheap:
2015 JAGUAR F-TYPE OEM Factory Wheels and Rims

Midwestwheelandtire.com list them for $1300 ea, refurbed(!)

Parts.com appear to list them, search for T2R10300 (I believe that is the part #).

whether or not any of these actually pan out is another question...

When you say rear gloss black, do you mean the fully painted cast wheels (metallic black), or the diamond cut black forged ones (a flat satin black finish)? 59919 is normally the latter, but online descriptions get copied around without changing. As you describe them as gloss I suspect the former?

In either case have you asked for a quote from your dealer? I replaced one of my forged black rears after kerbing it badly and the dealer new cost was significantly cheaper than refurbed ones on eBay at the time, and about on par with current online prices. It may be different in the States with the shipping costs, but I paid about £300 fitted about 18 months ago. If buying through a dealer provide photos of what you want in case they order the wrong one in because the variants are not obvious if they haven't ordered before. Even better to give them the WERS code (similar to XW93-XXXXX-XX) that is stamped on the inside of the rear you already have.

eBay at the moment has a couple around the same price with light handling marks that ship worldwide, e.g. 232333406604.

If you want the gloss metallic black with no diamond cut detail then just get any storm wheel in the correct size and paint it. I don't have the experience to know if mixing forged and cast would affect the handling, but almost any used/refurbed wheel that is not diamond cut will be the cast one as they are marginally cheaper to buy new.

If the 3 you have are a High Gloss Black, then they are refurbished.
OEM Storm comes in what can best be described as a Satin Gloss Black with a machined (Diamond Turned) face on the 5 spokes and rim. The other version is solid Ammonite Grey I believe.

I upgraded to the Storm wheel on my coupe and spent weeks sorting through bad information on the internet. There are quite a few different part numbers out there, some I do not believe are OEM numbers, and the descriptions for each are misleading.

Even Jaguar's description is not clear as they define them simply as Black or Silver, when one is Black and Silver and the other is all Grey. Go figure...

I still have my old wheels stored in the Storm boxes. Right from that box, this is the part# for the rear T2R10300 in Satin Black with Diamond Turned face. Fronts are T2R10299

Jaguar of Palm Beach has these for $830.00. I found the cheapest online price I could, and asked my local Service Advisor to match the price and he worked a deal with his Parts Manager and did exactly that.

This was after I ordered a set from Midwest tire, and what they sent me was junk. They were repainted a High Gloss Black, which is what I really wanted, but the quality of the paint job was awful. Very poorly masked, with black paint bleeding out onto the diamond turned faces in far too many areas for my liking. I sent them back and ordered from a source I could trust.

Thanks for the replies guys, I bought 3 of these (2 front, 1 rear):

https://www.ebay.com/itm/JAGUAR-F-TYPE-20-2014-2017-14-15-16-17-FACTORY-OEM-WHEEL-RIM-EX5M1007YA/122662689682?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid =p2057872.m2749.l2648

I believe they come in this finish with the carbon ceramic brake package (and on the Project 7 it seems)

I did order the T2R10300 from Jaguar Exeter here, so then they are not all gloss black as above? I'm so confused, I've spent weeks as well trying to figure out what the hell is going on with these part numbers

Thank you

Since those were 'refurbed' by the ebay seller, its difficult to know what they looked like originally. Maybe they were the 'diamond' cut version and they simply painted them black. Looking at the barrel in your pic, the paint looks a little 'uneven' to say the least.

Maybe picking up one of the common diamond cut rears, and then blast/powder coat all 4 to match would be the way to go?
