odometer mileage lights / works
maybe yes,...... seems very faint and black
so...probably no

I did not hear or feel any relays picking up.

Except, randomly/ intermittently would hear one from the driver side kick panel click repeatedly when the drivers door would open.

interior lights work
door chimes
power seat and steering wheel automatic driver settings 1,2 and 3 when key installed
front head lamps come on and off when door locks cycle

Remove the lower steering column cover to access the ignition key connector and take pin 3 on the car side to a ground and feel for king relays RH and LH Heelboard and RH Engine fuse box to click

Take pin 2 on the car side to ground and feel for king relay Trunk fuse box to click

Clean and verify the car side ground on the pin 5 on the car side of the connector and check for corrosion in the connector as mine had a little . The car side of the connector lifts straight up to unmount it to work with easier .

The pic is for the switch side of the connector

Note that it could be the battery transit isolation device to the BPM we'll look at later

I bought an XJR quite cheaply for the exact reason you mentioned: someone tried to jump start it and connected the cables backwards. In addition to fuses, both ECU and the AFM were also affected but only intermittently. Thus when they both went bad the car would randomly stall. Took me a while to find out why, but it was fixed when I replaced both parts.

To be honest with X300 values the way they are, it might be cheaper to buy another than fix everything.

Ok, thank you .
Figured out the random start issue.

Drove around for 15 minutes and all seems well.

We will see.

I will put my pride aside for others to know,,,,,,,,yes it can happen.

Well.............I hate to say it but........ for others.

Turn the ignition key all the way.

Ugh......
Turn it past where the steering wheel unlocks with pressure and the dash lights come on.
Turn it some more and the car starts,
