Default New x-type owner saying hello

This will be my project. Wish me luck.
This will be the donar car.
Just wanted to say hi. I’ve been creeping this page for about a month in preparation of buy an x-type. I don’t know what it is but I love x-types. I’ve always liked jaguars but never pulled the trigger. I’m a parts manager at a VW dealership and have been in the business for 15 years. I’ve spent 8 years of that with Audi. I’ve had a bunch of Audi’s, a V70 T5, Few MK2 VW’s and still have an R53 Mini Cooper built for auto crossing. After reading a ton of stuff on here I pulled the trigger on an 04 X-type 5-speed with a bad transfer case for $500. The same day I pick the car up I snagged another one for $500 with a bad engine, in the same color. How lucky is that. So I’ll be on the hunt for all the nessasary seals and bearings for the transfer case. I’m not afraid of a challenge as I have done some thing people said was impossible. If your into Audi’s then should appreciate this.
I am Audi | The Audi World ? B5 Audi A4 S4 Nav Plus Install

Anways, if anyone has info on the parts I’ll need please let me know. When I do the transfer case I’ll do a write up with all the part numbers and pics so they are in one thread. I’ve found some but not in the same thread.

Lol, Relaxation... I know I’m in for a world of hurt. Thank you for the welcome. I’m thinking about upgrading to the factory SatNav. I’m not afraid of rewiring stuff or reprogramming modules. I have an Autel scan tool and the couple of things i’ve Goofed off with on the car, the Autel has been able to code. Heck, it even programmed the 2 keys i got for the car.

You might want to ask members advice and opinions on factory SatNav before spending.

Whilst it's great to have the OE fitted look, you could find the mapping a bit antiquated by current standards.

I can see why you haven't had time to post!

That deserves starting your own "Project" thread in X-Type forum. Lots of members read Intro threads but not many return to them again once they have read them.
