Default Decent looking seat cover?

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone on this forum had any experience with seat covers, the type that goes over your existing seat to help protect the leather underneath, I recently repaired my cracking, driver's seat and it came out pretty well, but with sliding in and out of the seat multiple times, I wonder how long the repair will last. All the seat cover's I've seen on Amazon, look like something I'd put in my Ford F250, but not in my Jag. I want something a little classier, and still be able to operate the seat control buttons and I only really need the driver's seat.

Well, I have looked around myself (with no luck) for a temporary cover so I wouldn't rip mine anymore a few years ago before I finally got it fixed. My upholsterer said he could of made some temp ones if I'd of just asked. I just never thought to ask him, it was one of those right in front of my nose scenarios. Plus he would of made them to fit.

There is one thing to be aware of...............................................
The side airbags need a seam to deploy.
We were advised 20 years ago to advise customers about seat covers.

You can do whatever you want with your car but don't blame Jaguar if the system does NOT deploy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have no idea about insurance ramifications???????

I had no idea that XJ8s had side air bags. I have a 1996 XJ6 and I thought the seats had stayed relatively the same. Thanks for the info!

I have the airbags like Bob speaks of in my work van and I have seat covers in it. Those seat covers have Velcro where the bags deploy.
