Here's the post where I reinforced the ears and surrounding plastic with brass and epoxy. I haven't had it back off since then, so I don't know how it's held up, but I should find out pretty soon when I pull the clock for its warantee rebuild.

Howitzer , The most important perimeters to look at on your value vs . time graph are :
Short term fuel trim
Mass air flow
Throttle position
RPM
Engine coolant temp lesser important
Inlet air temp lesser important
The short term fuel trim should be 0.0 on all RPM's and engine loads with the exception of cold start up where the engine coolant temp warms up and comes out of the purposely designed rich mixture . The short term fuel trim of 0.0 is the final outcome of all the sensors including the O2 sensors reading correctly and the ECU calculating the correct adjustment in fuel injector pulse time .
The MAF should read 4.5 grams / second going up around 165.0 at wide open the throttle for the normally aspirated 4.0 version so your 3.2 will be less . Sometimes the MAF will be off by a factor of 10 or 100 by a software error .
When you get your graph insert it as a pic in this windows add a picture icon so we can see it . There was a good example of someone posting there graph that I have lost in history if someone can recall who that was it will be in his history
The example you want to graph is one where you drive around through the throttle range and not steady state at idle only .
There is a learning time involved it setting the device up to display a expected value that may be off so some invested time in squaring up the foundations of your engine regulation is worthwhile like grounds and connector cleaning , vacuum lines , filter change , and spark plugs and others .

Howitzer ,
This is a format that is an example of how it can be interpreted from the thread linked below :

Wipers
Hi Guys. Unsure of how to use this page bu here goes... I have a problem with my x300 wiper operation. For a month or two they work fine and then they go mad, as in....they will only work on full speed but you have to time it with the wiper stalk to get the wiper back to the bottom of the screen. This has ben happening for the last year. She is 1997 last of the AJ6'S. Ilove the car and have had Jags over the years and love to see them kept on the roads. Any help with this would be more than appreciated. TIA

Appears to be 2 separate problems , fast / slow relay and the parking switch inside the motor gearbox . Both can be caused by a stalk switch or the common wiring damage in the column . At the top of the topic page there is a " Post New Thread " icon on the main X300 page . Do that and will help resolve your issue . Welcome to the forum , I have learned alot from others .

Bought a Jag just like mine, sort of , for parts
Mine is a 1997 XJ6L. I found a 1997 XJ6 same color with a lot more features. Luckily my wife told me that if I was going to keep mine...buy it! Must have been a full moon. Well over the last few days have removed, the hood, few door panels, seat module, wheels (tires still had the new label on them), reach motor and cable(yep still good), radio, clock, temp, and a few more parts. There is a lot more to go. This one had the headlight washer and the bumper is a little better but will get it painted. Need to find a left side chrome cap for the washer nozzles. A new one is $70 where as the right is only $30. Does not make any sense. It also has the block heater which I will never have a need for. Hmm what is next.

The rear seat picnic tables will swap out with 2 crosspoint screws on the very bottom after you remove the hinge bolts the shell will unhook on the sides .
The stereo is the same but the speaker wiring is different between the standard and premium sound system .
There are other things that will swap that later you wish you had while you had the opportunity .
Do you have a spare 2 radiator cooling fans with the big mounting shroud for me and someone else later ?
PM me please when time allows .

While replacing the fuel pumps and had the rear package shelf off, took the opportunity to repair the deteriorated surround on the 6x9 subwoofer.
I had the kit lying around for a couple years, and wish I had fixed it when it first started falling apart as it makes a huge difference.
Worked like a charm.

Do you have the exact part number from the package ( if still around ) for others ? Good music should be played loud . Check out Deft Punk music from the movie Tron Legacy the song " Recognizer " on Youtube . And then there is always Loose Ends " Hanging on a String " , look for the car on the video pick , you'll never look at a cow bell the same way again .
