Hi there
As its always best to throw in fresh pads with new rotors I am planning on some new pads front and rear.
Now on the stock brakes on the SVR, they seem adequate but don't really inspire confidence, particular in wet, they seem to lack initial bite.
Now of course the 2PC drilled disc will probably help a little with this as they will help prevent water being between pad and rotor surface.
But even in dry conditions I find the stock setup lacking a little in bite, now of course the stock pads seem quite low dust and are completely silent.
So what do you guys recommend as good front/rear pads replacement on the SVR that give some more bite but at same time are quiet like stock please?

Please find attached the details of the oem rotors.......they are very very heavy......
We hope to have designs finished early next week and a test set possibly early the following
week. I will email pictures when we are happy.

Damn those are indeed heavy!
I am going to say Wortec will get the fronts down too 9.9-12kg depending on the design people go with.
The rears will be around 6-7kg again depending on design.
In short the results should be same weight savings as ceramic setup offers but at less than 1/4 of the cost.

1. Less unsprung mass, less inertia to stop, more tyre contact patch on the road due to less unsprung weight so less skidding.
2. Drilled, grooves help with cooling, less fade.
3. 2PC design gives more air flow across the disc, less fade.
4. Suncut designs, further aid cooling.
5. Grooves / drills keep better pad contact and surfaces clean so better bite.
There is no downsides to lighter disc, especially 2PC ones, well there is one downside, cost.

Just pile on and add your name to the list if you are interested. We'll determine the price and discount after they've finished the design and testing. The real issue was to find enough buyers to make the manufacture worth their effort.

Perhaps, but given the size of those trashcan lids, it's hard for me to imagine.
My thoughts are these guys being doing this for years and they know what they are doing. As such they probably know exactly what the final product will weigh or roughly.

That reminds me of my first race bike. It had a plasma-coated aluminum rear brake disc. I don't think it would have lasted on the front, but the rear got minimal use, and it was really light. That bike was 242 lbs. wet, no gas. It was also designed for someone *much* shorter than me. I felt like Pretzel-Boy after 8 laps.

Didn't they offer for comparison weights from another 380mm disc? The part of the assembly that is the friction disc is unlikely to be much different, unless it's thinner or of a different material.
