F-Pace 5.0 SC SVR
It’s coming soon and it’s awesome!
I live in the Palm Desert, CA area and we are a frequent locale for late stage warm weather testing for pre-production vehicles. Camouflage is so common around here we hardly even glance anymore to see what it is.
But climbing the hill out of Palm Desert recently (on HWY 74 - while I was - I thought - hustling up the hill in my XKR) I was almost run over by a couple guys driving an F-Pace with the 5.0 (assume it was the 575 hp iteration) and it was just a beast. Front looked mean and the exhaust was close to “full open” as it came around me and rocketed up the hill. Huge quad exhaust outlets out back, big wheels and big brakes. While camouflaged - it still looked beefy.
Wow.
I hope the interior spec is as impressive as the visual and auditory impression I was left with!
Needless to say - I am paying attention to when the pre-order process commences.

I wonder if Jaguar will actually follow through with this. This JLR engine is on its way out, and it seems a lot of development money spent on a new vehicle release, equipped with an engine in its twilight.
Add to that, that the only real future competitors, the Stelvio Q4 and GLC63S, are few months away as well, but with much newer engines.
Finally, in either 550 or 575hp tune, Jaguar will be going 50-75 hp above the direct competition and almost 140hp above the Macan Turbo Performance.
This would be GLE63/X6M territory. Not sure if the marketing guys would want to take the fight to a different vehicle segment...

European Auto Shows
Check the March Geneva Auto Show. The 2019, F-PACE SVR will be there in all of it's glory. And -- with 550 hp. Probably won't come cheap, but when I priced out a Macan, one can easily push the $100,000 mark. Maybe Jaguar really does want to play with the big boys.

New build
You've had some luck, then. I fooled around with several dealers; first, trying to find an "S" to our liking, then trying to order one. No luck! JLR was not accepting any build orders for the unit we wanted. No more 2018 F-Pace S orders could be placed. If we're still interested I guess we'll go for the 2019s. Don't know if it'll be worth the wait, but if there's some minor changes to interior colors, we might be convinced.
Let us know when yours arrives.

Almost All
Well, it was very specific. All packages, including tow hitch, but no "head Up" display. The interior colors were also important. Put it all together and it spelled "zero" for 2018.
Oh, well, I'll spend the next couple of months doing my annual "renew my body" overhaul chores. You know, the dentist, cardiologist, etc., etc. All just to renew the few prescription drugs that I need for maintenance. I might even change my oil and give a few shots of three-in-one oil to the old joints.
Stay well, and enjoy what's coming.

“According to Jaguar, it will be the "fastest and most powerful" version of the F-Pace SUV to date. Power should come from a supercharged 5.0-liter V8 paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission”.....
Sweet baby Jesus....It’s coming in two days...

How sad! I'd have definitely bought one... I'm about to get rid of my C5 Corvette and swore to replace it with something with a V8. An SVR XE would have topped that list.

Shame there is no ability to build one of these F-Pace SVRs. It would be a good replacement for my '12 BMW X5 35d and addition to the garage. With a $79K "starting" price it seems like it would be a bargain if I can keep a fully loaded build under $85K. SVR models typically come pretty well loaded already
