Heated Front Windscreen - Anyone had an Issue?
Hi Folks,
I have read several threads of people having front heated screens not working and several descriptions of where relays and fuses are located. But I have yet to see actual experiences of people that had an issue and what they did to fix theirs?
My heated screen does not currently work, but the switch lights up. I am getting a new screen fitted once it arrives but if this does not fix it. What next?
I am wondering what the most common fault is that gives this trouble.
So a quick reply from those that have fixed their trouble and what the issue or issues were if possible please?
1. Left Relay
2. Right Relay
3. Left Fuse
4. Right Fuse
5. New Screen
6. A combination of the above.
Cheers for now
Dave

At the windshield wire connections you should see a pulsed voltage but not a sudden steady voltage as this would put too much of a thermo stress on the glass and shatter it . If that is good you can remov e the connector on the windshield and read the resistance through the gold heater substaight and is very doubtful the windshield is bad so don't order the windshield as that must be expensive to ship .
