Sorry but I don't "get" this one. I have seen others play off the strong English pronunciation of jag-u-ARE but I don't think anyone actually says Jag-U-...errrrrr anywhere in the continental US or even that odd-ball place called Boston or even in the foreign territories of South Carolina & Georgia. LOL
I've enjoyed seeing some of these. I've ordered my vanity plate, but it isn't really Jag related (British, yes, Jag, no). If it's ok, even though not related to the car specifically, I'll be happy to post it when it gets to me.
Nice plate Andrew but ya gotta get rid of that plate surround and cover!
When I got my XFR a few years ago it had the exact same set up, same dealer even, and it was the first thing to go.
Just stick the plate straight on the boot with double sided tape, nice and clean and neat, here is mine:
I agree with OzXFR completely in that I would never have a license plate frame - so much “cleaner” without one IMO - especially if it says anything at all.
And to prove it, when I visited RickyJay in the fall, he got out a screwdriver and removed the dealer frame around my plate, which I had been too lazy to do for 4+ years. It does indeed look better.
Bu what if your plates are ugly to begin with? Maybe the frame draws attention away and makes them look better? Mine doesn't say the dealer name, just JAGUAR across the bottom (and at least it's a metal frame and not flimsy plastic).

I know you’re not a shrinking violet Tina - so I know you won’t be offended - and while I agree that some State license plates are, to use your word, ugly (or ill-suited to enhance the car itself; most likely do not) - having a license plate frame which says JAGUAR is superfluous.
And while I adore my dealer - and sing their praises as often as I can via word-of-mouth - unless I own the dealership I’m not sure why anyone would sport a dealer issued-frame.

Yeah I still have my Audi dealership frame on mine, I just keep forgetting to take it off. Utterly ridiculous to be driving around supporting an Audi dealership in a Jag though!

Ok, you've convinced me. I'm too lazy to do it until my new tag to gets to me, but when it does, I'll take a picture (before, old tag with frame and after, new tag without frame). Deal? I'll post it even though the tag has nothing to do with the car (but it at least related to something British).

That’s adding insult to injury approx. Tell you what. I’ll give you the same “deal” I gave DJS. Come to Maine and I’ll take it off for you. Bring Tina and I’ll take it off for her too. Two for one.
And before someone jumps at the bit - DJS - the only thing I’m taking off is the license plate frame! Where’s your mind at?
I don't like a frame on this car either, but it was the only way to express the entire sentiment:
Now there’s a frame which is simple, tasteful, and, yes, completes the sentiment and the correct and accurate [mental] state of the owner. And I also like that the typeface is on the top of the frame versus the bottom which would make it stand out that much more and, yes, detract from the car. IMO.
