Since I don't know where else to say this; New Thread.
Well, I FINALLY saw another XK that isn't forum-related while I was in my F150. I was leaving a Smith's Market when a dark blue convertible 2012+ XK pulled in. Course I whipped around and parked, then walked up towards the then-parked car. The woman driving it glanced quickly at me then looked down and didn't move. When I rapped on the cart corral next to the car she looked at me again and lowered the window about two inches.
She was about 40 or so, freshly foofed blond hair and generally a well-kept lady. I stated I had a 2010, and asked her what hers was, 2012 or newer, and she sorta-politely said "it's a fifteen"..... and then put the window back up. She never shut the car down either.
I'm certain she thought to herself "Yes, SURE you have an XK."
Oh well, it was pretty and very clean.
As was the car.
Probably never see it again.

FWIW, if that would have been my wife, I'd have 'high fived" her for her appropriate handling of the encounter. Never ceded vehicle access to you, kept her 'escape' options open, etc.

Please revert back. I was only emphasizing how awestruck I was. You were absolutely in the right. Life is about beauty lifting us up to its standards, we are not in Saudi Arabia.
