Found that the last S-Type is in the Jaguar Heritage Museum, https://www.jaguarheritage.com/car/2...jaguar-s-type/
nothing was said about it being A Satin Edition.
So my car was manufactured over 2000 cars before the last one. I found this link that states the last 750 cars are Satin Editions, is this BS?

What identifies that my car is A Satin Edition?

Well I can give you a check list for the Satin Editions:
Firstly the Satin Editions were only for 3.0 and 4.2 cars. (Not the STR or diesel.) So as your car is a USA 4.2 auto that is a good start!
(It has the 'High Series' body code.)
The Satin Editions had the following:
Matt Satin Mahogany veneers in the dash and doors.
Leather-wrapped steering wheel.
Chrome/leather shift knob.
They were only available in the following body colours: Ebony, Liquid Silver, Lunar Grey, Radiance and Porcelain. (I think your car is Liquid Silver, if so the paint code should be MEE.)
The interior trim was one of the two following colours: Champagne with Mocha or Charcoal with Charcoal.
However owners could change some of the above with no extra cost, but the matt wood veneers are the best indication as these were not used in other cars unless the owners paid a aditional cost.
You can find out exactly when the V8 engine was made by the engine number. It is in the following format with two digits each:
Year, month, date, hour, min.

I can see the Vulcan wheels. I am not sure what was standard on the satin models, but they stopped using these Vulcan wheels on the 06MY STR's.
Are both front and rear the same size rims and tyres, or are the rears wider?
The grill may have been an option not standard? I think the mesh grill was only fitted as standard on the sport and STR cars and as I mentioned your VIN number indicates a 'high series' body not a 'sports' body.
You need the bill of sale as this may well have all the details.

The satin mahogany wood convinces me it is a 'satin'.
As the rear Vulcan wheels are the same size as the front I would say that these are factor fitted, perhaps an option? But I do not know what was standard on the satin cars.
The STR's have wider vulcan wheels and tyres on the back, but the 06,07 and 08 STR's had the 19 onch Barcelona wheels, not Vulcan.

New-ish to the forum and just stumbled over this. My S is a 2008 (US), Radiance with Champagne and Mocha interior. It also has the Vulcan wheels. Leather-wrapped wheel and chrome/black leather knob. Wood... does not appear "glossy" to my eye but have nothing to compare it with. I'll have a look at the 4.2 motor number and see what I can sort.
Update: Wheels are both the same size, not staggered and the wood is satin when compared to another s-type. Also has chrome outside mirrors -- maybe that's stock?

Satin Edition
The Satin Edition has the chrome caps on the external mirrors as well as chrome grill, chrome trunk (boot) plinth and bright window surrounds. Mine is Ebony with charcoal interior. Have attached an ad I found awhile back on the Satin Edition, a little hard to read though...

Thanks! Color is Radiance. When I bought the car it had very dark window tinting. The good news is it probably helped preserve the interior which is near 100% -- the bad news was it looked like a Jaguar hearse... and was so dark inside I had to put on the running lights to see the instruments! But the red sold me. It's got just over 50k miles and spent its life in Texas.
