Default Project Fi interchiller

Now let me say this isn't really needed on your average road going 550bhp f type
THis is a hobby to me so I enjoy it
This replaces your front mount chargecooler and uses your air conditioning to run through the chargecooler circuit
I am pushing on 700bhp so ait is crucial at this point
I will update this thread with pictures as I go
I can't work on the car all the time so progress may be slow

This is the layout of the circuit

First stage is removal of chargecooler and crash bar for access and well a support tray for the interchiller to mount it behind the crash bar
It's worthy to note I am in the UK so the system from IC interchiller was from US
Fi interchiller had a sale on so 20% off was a no brainer

New pump cwa 400 to shift the ice cold water round the system

Proposed location for chiller cable ties are just for positioning 90 degree brackets/bracket will be bolted to bumper support bar

Haven't had a lot of time this week but have used cable ties to get new condenser and fan and chiller in their positions
And need to get a 90deg plate welded onto the crash bar for the chiller to sit on

Awesome stuff so far. How does the second condenser refrigerant lines connect to the Jag AC system? When you get to that part of the install can you take pictures of how that is all laid out? That's been the most confusing part to wrap my head around about the install. Appreciate it greatly!

Basically it's just out of original condenser into 2nd condenser then out again

Thank you for the picture. I have never seen this picture edited this way for stage 2 anywhere online. I scrolled past it on your first post because I thought it was the stage 1 diagram one on their website. This is a great help, thank you!

It's basically just extending the loop
And the cwa400 is a monster pump

Will it fit in place of the stock pump? Looking at the physical dimensions it doesn't appear that it would.

There is a lot of space freed up by removing the old chargecooler
I need to get a reservoir made up as well

I think you mean it extends the evaporator? That is what puts out cold air in the AC system. The condenser is hot and in front of the engine radiator.

No it's a second condenser the heat is being cooled twice and then by the chiller

Gasman is correct. The stage 2 kit adds an additional condenser in line with the stock condenser to greatly reduce heat before going to the Interchiller. The Interchiller is essentially an evaporator with a coolant circuit added, only instead of cooling air, it's use here is to super cool the supercharger coolant circuit. With this stage 2 kit it is possible to get colder than ice coolant for an unbelievably massive reduction in IAT2 temps far beyond what an ice tank can do. Here is a bonkers video demonstrating how cold this fluid can get for use in drag racing. Results will vary of course however there are reports of everyday cars getting single digit negative degree IAT2 temperatures using this stage 2 Interchiller kit.

Had a reservoir made and some brackets for the chiller
Had a trial fit and need to do a bit of juggling
Need to get the tank to the right another 10mm maybe 15
Plan is to mount the pump below the tank and off to the right
My bathroom is taking most of my time so I only get the odd hour to work on it

What is the fluid capacity of the tank? Looks like a good place to mount it.

Not sure what capacity is
It's 120x120x280mm
Just need to do a little juggling
It's good spot and doesn't block any airflow
