On both the V8 and V6 neither the oil filter housing or the sump drain plug have changed at all since the get-go so the torque specs would have remained the same as well.
Never used a torque wrench myself on either, simply went with "guttentite" spec and zero problems.
Haven't touched the drain plug in years, I use the top suction method instead.
With the oil filter housing/cap I simply tighten it until it stops dead, you can't miss the feeling when it stops!

AFter working through the free dealer oil changes, I did my own with the top extraction method. Yes, 18 ft lbs is for the filter cannister. I have both standard and a digital torque wrenches and both registered that 18.
If you are going to do the oil change, one hint I used was to buy some less expensive Jaguar-spec oil to use as a 'flush'. Bought some Quaker state and put about 2.5 litres in after completely draining the old oil. Then extracted that. It did bring some more dirty oil back up with it.
Here's a link to the video I used:

From my notes, it was 7.25L on the Mityvac. I put that back in, let it sit for 20 min. Put car in acc mode and checked oil level on inst. cluster (Car information). It said OK. I was at my car club's workshop, so drove home. Let it sit overnight and checked again the next day. Still good. Drove it a substantial distance, let it sit, checked again. Still good. That was late April, 2024. Just checked this last week, June, 2024 and it's still good.
I have a 2017 V6 Premium. In your case, I would refill only as much as you got out originally. Let it sit, without starting the car, check level, adjust from there. I would then start it and run it in the garage (or other safe spot), shut off, let it sit. then check again. Really no different from what I used to do with my british car herd, except they all had or have dipsticks!
