Default Flickering ASC light

Lately I have been getting an occasional flickering ASC light when turning right (only right). Not always, infrequently. The car has had a two year history of ABS lights; I have replaced all sensors; the ABS light usually goes out after restarting and driving forward; but often resets when crossing underground power lines, (like the sensor grid at our gated community), usually during right hand turns, never left hand turns. Both the ABS light and the new, flickering ASC light only occur when the pavement is extremely hot (guessing that heat adds to the magnetism in underground cables effecting the Hall Effect). Not sure why this ASC flicker is occurring and which wheel is offending.

I am trying to figure out if my Actron CP9670 will read C codes . . . to find the offending wheel. Apparently not right/rear (speedometer works).

Thoughts?

Without communicating with the ABS module, we are all guessing.

MY GUESS will be one of the front axle wheel speed sensor 'link-harnesses'. (just a guess)

I'll start there. Thanks. Apparently the OBD reader can't read C codes.

Some readers will communicate with ALL modules and inexpensive one's will only read 'P' codes.
After working at the dealer I duplicated all the diagnostics I could.
I use WDS and IDS for all DTCs. (P,B,C, and U codes)

'Throwing-parts' at a fault can get expensive. Diagnosis is usually more cost effective but some people insist on blindly replacing EVERYTING. ('shotgun-approach')

Bob wins again: looks like the pigtail between the sensor and right front harness was the culprit all along:

Made up my mind that when the light became constant and couldn't be turned off by stopping the engine and restarting I would take it to my technicians at Abacus Racing, I think they use WDS software: "Scanned ABS System for faults. Found C1095 HYD pump motor circuit. Found C1145 Front right WSS input circuit failure and C1234 front right WSS signal missing. Suspect ABS module is faulty (solder failure across power) and right front ABS harness is faulty."

Ordered rebuilt control box from outfit in TN (return old one for $100 rebate: $385) and new wiring harness from NOMO on eBay ($65). Will take it back when parts get here for the Abacus technician to install . . . until then, I live with the orange ABS fault and traction control light. About $600 to end a year frustration . . .

Will advise once repairs done.

Again, Bob Gauf: thanks for the help.

Now onto the next issue.

Jhartz, It is always good to discover what is wrong and options to fix it.
These wonderful and elegant cars have lasted almost 22 years, (in your case)
The constant struggle between the engineer's desire for longevity and the bean
counter's need for cost effectiveness becomes more evident with each passing
year. Many of us are very grateful to have the wealth of experience we enjoy
within this forum.
