Default Unattached wire in the boot

Good Afternoon,

As you can see I am having some fun with my 2003 S Type V8 today and just taking car of some small things. I have this wire which is not attached to anything in the boot near the battery. I am trying to figure out what it is and where it should be attached. I have attached the image if it helps anyone to give me advice. Thanks in advance

Two pins on the unused connector? If so, take a look here:

Thanks for the information. This is the attachment at the end of the loose wire. I am definitely not an auto mechanic or much of a DIY'er but it seems odd to me that there should be a wire loose and not plugged into something.

I guess that I should just remove the fuse?

I have the same wire drifting around the trunk area of my car. When I spotted it I was concerned, but it doesn't seem to belong to anything, and the car is 100% working, FWIW I have full nav and the Alpine option.

Thanks for the feedback. My car also seems to be working just fine. I will just tuck the wire under the boot valance where the rest of the wires are neatly hidden...

It's the transit relay wiring. Only used when the car is shipped from the factory to the dealer. As part of the PPI the relay is removed permanently and that small plug should but plugged into a spot somewhere in the trunk. If you don't know where that is just hide it out of sight somewhere.

It's still being used too!
Here is where it's stored on my 2014 XJ.
