Hi all,
Recently acquired a 2017 XF-S and was interested to see others experience with what I perceive as poor ride quality.
I previously owned a 2016 XF 25T R-sport with adaptive dynamics on 20inch wheels with Michelin tires. My new car has exactly the same setup and tires. My issue is that in comparison, the new car seems so much firmer, with a ride that clunks and bumps over bumps, but also seems to float at high speeds. I've checked the suspension, everything seems in order, with no codes and the car has low mileage - approx 45000 miles. To make sure I had a Jaguar specialist look it over and he also gave it the all clear.
To make matters worse, I recently had a 2017 XE 25T R-sport as a loan car, and the ride was a revelation in comparison to my car. It was supple, wasn't noisy and was generally far more comfortable. I did some reading, and i have heard that the S models in both trims are slightly firmer, however, I can't seem to find any info on springs and damper rates being different.
Could anyone on the forum offer some advice?
cheers
J

Yes, everything has been checked by myself and a Jaguar technician. Was interested to know of others experiences with the ride of their 'S' models. Took another XFS for a spin yesterday and noticed it had the same inherent firmness as my vehicle... guessing it must be a characteristic of the car as my previous 25T was significantly more compliant.
