Default Engine oil cooler feed hose c2n2208

Looks to be NLA, that's a pita, I've just dropped off mine to a hydraulic hose repair shop, hope they are successful.

Anyone else had a successful repair done to theirs?

Fingers crossed.

I had to take off both feed lines as I couldn't get them separated while on the car. Easy enough once in a vice.

Jaguar addressed this when I worked at the dealer.

Make the hose shop know the fitting have to be clocked pretty close with the short hoses.

Yes, I made a point of discussing that with them.

Here's hoping the repair shop can indeed restore your hose assembly to proper condition. Keep us posted on what they wind up doing for you....

Also, I spoke with SNG Barratt here in the U.S. about these oil cooler lines in mid-April. They quoted me a full kit to replace all components in the system. Their quote included oil cooler feed hose C2N2911, oil cooler feed hose C2N2208, oil cooler return hose MJE7471AB, oil cooler return hose MJE7461AB, 4 O-rings KSR609001, and 2 O-rings KSH119530. So these parts may still be available through SNG Barratt (although they are stupid expensive)....

SNG UK show it is "special order", and Jag told me today they were NLA and no plan to restock.

Perhaps there is still some stock in the US.

My hydraulic shop came through, £27.50, and a perfect fit. The car is now back on the road.

Well done. If and when the time comes for my wife's 2006 XK8, I hope I can find a local hydraulics shop that can do the job....

Did you also source new O-rings? If so, from where?

Yes, I replaced the O rings, I have a few o ring kits and just matched up with the closest in the kits, the closest match came from an imperial rather than metric kit.

I have both generic metric and imperial kits. I can't see any real difference between them.

I found out something new today, after assembly I started the engine to check for leaks and noticed after 10 minutes the oil cooler and pipes were still cold.

This is why.

here’s more detail, showing the valve and oil path. It’s been posted in the previous oil cooler topics if searching for more information about the oil cooler and assorted issues is desired.

Good one ya! That sounds very reasonable to me. Didn't your hose guy have a yacht payment due this month? Mine seems that I should send his kids to college for the privilege of having hoses fitted by he and his shop. Bragging rights I suppose. Glad you solved the problem. TM
