Default Purge solenoid Issue? May be?

Hello fellow members,

I have a 2009 Jaguar XF Supercharged and I am running into a little bit of an issue with it. Every time I put fuel in, it has a hard time starting up. I could hear the starter trying to start it up but no luck in starting it. Then after a few tries, it fires up but with lots of hesitation.

I sometimes see a P0441 Evap Emission Control System Incorrect purge flow CEL. There were some vacuum leaks under the hood but my mechanic says they should be resolved and I have driven it for about 100 kms after that and no code yet.

Could this code be just because of the vacuum leak somewhere? I have been filling up jerrycan to fuel it up lately. I put gas in it at night and then its fine in the morning. Just a little scared to take it to a pump and fill it up in case it would not want to fire up again.

has anyone experienced anything like this before? I guess I gott take it to a gas station and try putting some gas in to see if the issue is gone or is it needs some new parts.

So it still struggles to startup after filling gas in. Can anyone help me in figuring out the part number I need? I have been trying to find purge control valves but only purge canister keeps popping up for 2009 XF 4.2 Supercharged.

Is anyone able to shed any light on the issue please?

Strangely I have had this occur on my 2014 3.0SC after refuelling. It throws also some messages "pedestrian system failed" and the outside temperature reading goes to a crazy -40C degrees reading!! After finally starting it stays with this until the system shuts down and somehow resets itself after some hours. I was thinking also the purge valve or could it be the battery needing change.

I did think about the battery and replaced it. However the issue is still persistent

Make sure your filling at a top tier gas station, run some gum out the simplest things first ,maybe a case of bad gas

You can use that but the list generally recommends Techron or BK44 instead?
But that is not your problem?

Keep following the codes as that is they way to fix your car.
Battery was the first step but did not fix it.
