Hi Everyone I'm considering buying an F type S that's across the country from me. I asked the dealer to take a video of the engine sound before I fly out there to make sure there's nothing out of the oridinary before i make the long trip. Can you guys please take a listen to see if this engine sounds normal/healthy or has any red flags?

to clarify it's a 2015 v6 s

 

I'm no mechanic, but that sounds like the normal v6 sound. It isnt a very nice engine to listen to at idle, I've heard diesels that are more refined. but it sounds fantastic once you get going.

That looks like IRR as well, it is a lovely colour.

 

great, thanks for the feedback, that's what I wanted to hear. I keep reading about the infamous supercharger clunk and I'm not too sure what that sounds like so I just wanted to make sure it wasn't doing that
