Default Trunk light staying on

My 2018 convertible keeps struggling with low battery-start engine issues. Brand new battery installed and still doing.
Anyways whilst checking different ideas posted on here I noticed my trunk light is staying on. The two lights in the narrow section of the trunk go off after 3 minutes but the single light next to the lock stays on all the time. I have checked this by placing my cell phone in the trunk and closing the lid and locking the car.

Has anybody had this issue?

I've done that. Disconnected the led lamp unit.
